Atlantic Clipper Charter Terms for travel between 01-Jan-2008 and 31-Mar-2016

The Operator reserves the right to change routes, itineraries or vessels at any time without notice. All itineraries, activities and departures are subject to weather and may be changed or cancelled at the discretion of the Operator. It should be noted that adventure sailing includes risks. Whilst the Operator makes every effort to safeguard clients, The Operator cannot be held responsible for personal injury or loss due to actions which are beyond control. The Operator recommends that all clients have travel insurance covering illness, injury, loss or damage to personal belongings.

Cancellation Policy:
The initial deposit paid is non-refundable. In addition to forfeiting your deposit, the following charges also apply: Clients cancellations made less than 21 days prior to departure will result in complete forfeiture of the full price paid, and transfer fees do apply. 

Booking Transfers
- Transfers to another date within 72 hours are not allowed and the passenger will forfeit the full cost of their trip.
- Transfers outside 72 hours will incur a transfer fee which is payable at check-in.
- Passengers are unable to tranfer back to an open dated ticket.
- Once the transfer is in effect, the passenger is then unable to cancel.
- If a passenger is unable to make their trip due to circumstances not in their control eg. roads blocks due to weather, late buses etc. You will be issued with a letter to claim their trip costs back from the travel insurance. We recommend that all clients have travel insurance, especially during wet season.

What days do your trips go?
We depart around 3pm Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays! ***This depends on tide times.

Where do you leave from? When do I have to be there?
We depart from the new section of the Abel Point Marina (Airlie Beach), (M arm). Check in at ABC the day before your departure prior to 5pm.

What do I need to Bring?
BYO Alcohol, Beach Towel and Sunscreen, Hats, Thongs and Sandles, Light Clothing, Jumper, Your favorite Cd's, Weather Proof Jacket and a Sense of Fun and Adventure.

Can I Scuba dive if I have never done it before?
Yes*, the Operator have certified Scuba instructors on board. *Health permitting.

What is the menu?
Breakfast: Whole meal / White bread, Selection of Honey, Peanut Butter, Vegemite, jams, Marmalade, Fresh Fruit Platter, Muesli/Cornflakes, Tea/Coffee
Lunch: Cold meats, Cheese, Salad, Tuna salad, Coleslaw, Bread rolls, Pita bread
Snacks: Fresh fruit platter, Biscuits, Fruit Cake, Dorrito Chips, Crackers and dips
Dinners: BBQ Fish, On mash potato, Coleslaw, Damper Spaghetti Bolognaise, Mixed Salad, Garlic Bread

Im a vegetarian, what options do you have?

Will I get seasick?
The Atlantic Clipper is one of the most stable boats in the Whitsundays, so the chances are a lot better than on most trips... but some people DO get seasick, but usually it wont last too long.

What about staying in Airlie Beach?
ABC will give you discounted accommodation when you book a trip with us.

Any additional costs I should know about?
These costs apply to all charters in the Whitsundays: $5.00 per day EMC, $3.00 per day Fuel Levy, $3.00 Marina fee, $8.00 admin fee, and stinger suit hire $15.00. The total of these extra costs comes to $50.00 and this is payable at check in at ABC Travel.

Are pets allowed on your boats?

No.

Is smoking acceptable onboard?
Strictly no smoking in cabins.

We strongly recommend that clients ensure they take out the highest level of travel insurance. In many cases this will cover any losses incurred if you are forced to cancel your booking.
